Home options and weekly rent
The home base balance is the starting amount before background benefits are applied. A regular LAPO start adds a loan; a Nepo start uses its own cash package. Later move-in homes do not give you a new starting balance.

Rent is collected on Saturday
Weekly rent is due Saturday from 09:00 on the Lagos clock displayed in the game. Advance rent can cover a bill, so check the amount actually due before spending your balance. Nepo housing has its own parent-paid rent benefit.
Unpaid rent accumulates as arrears. Arrears above two weekly rent amounts can lead to eviction, with an exception for the lowest-cost home in each city.
Keep rent separate from spending money
Set aside the rent you owe before budgeting food, transport, upgrades or gifts. The home base balance is a one-time starting amount: it is not weekly income and is not paid again when you move.

The Nepo and LAPO comparison lists Nepo packages by city, regular LAPO cash totals by home, and the separate UNILAG student start. Choose the package that matches your account before planning your first week.
