Before you enter the city

Lagos Life is Eliy’s multiplayer life simulation set in Lagos. Your Sim, house, money, jobs and relationships belong to your game account. This companion keeps the guides close at hand while the original game runs in a separate window.

The game’s terms require players to be 18 or older. Sign-up is free. Optional purchases of virtual naira are available in the game; virtual money has no real-world cash value and cannot be cashed out.

A good first-session goal

Get comfortable with one work destination and a few places you want to revisit. You can explore more of the city as you settle in.

Your first four steps

  1. Open the original game.

    Use Play Lagos Life. A new game window opens, leaving this guide available in your current tab. If your browser blocks it, use the direct game link that appears.

  2. Create your account or sign in.

    The sign-up form asks for your name, username and a password of at least six characters. A recovery email is optional, but you need one for password recovery. Enter account details only on the original game website.

  3. Look around the map.

    Drag the city map with a mouse and select a labelled venue to open its entry panel. On desktop, Escape closes the panel. The Office marker, for example, opens Marina Towers.

  4. Choose a direction for your session.

    Start with work if your question is how to earn money, or explore venues and meet people if you want to learn the social side. The game’s venue panels show the actions currently available to your account.

Find a job that gives your session a purpose

The creator’s 1 October update introduced eight jobs: Chef at Amala Shitta, DJ at Quilox, Fitness Coach, Content Creator, Teacher, Event Planner, Football Pundit and Retail at The Palms. The same update describes a choice between a 9–5 and a night shift.

Pick a role you want to try and read its current options in the game. Keep an eye on whether an activity is a regular job, a small gig, a business or a trailer: the creator has announced different timing rules for these income sources.

Get to know people

Lagos Life includes private chat, visits to friends’ houses and relationships. The creator’s 2 October relationship update says chatting, hanging out and visiting can build closeness. At 40 or more closeness, the route to ask someone out is Phone → Family.

For a direct conversation, use a contact or the Message someone option in Messages. Take time to learn the phone menu as well as the map: some social actions live there.

Coming back to your game

Sign in with the same account to return to your saved Sim and progress. On 3 October, the creator announced a new game address and said existing accounts, money, houses and relationships would carry over; the earlier address would continue to work.

If you are returning after a break, check your income activities and the current venue options before starting a new routine. The game is changing quickly, and a saved guide cannot show every account-specific choice.
